CLEARED SOMALI LINGUISTS

JTG is currently seeking cleared Somali Linguists to support the National Virtual Translation Center.

Location: Nationwide
Status: On-Call with possibility of a full-time status
Start Date: Immediately


Responsibilities:

• Conduct gists / summaries
• Translate audio files and documents
• Interpret at all level of speech with high accuracy
• Prepare periodic reports upon request

Requirements for successful applicants:

• Familiarity with the ILR proficiency scale
• Native or near-native proficiency in English
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and work under tight deadlines.
• Top Secret clearance at a minimum


Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (an MA or higher degree preferred).


This position reports to the Project Manager.
