Language Technologists will develop, update, and maintain electronic lexicons and associated text files. S/He will collect and analyze foreign language corpora as well as assist in the development of machine translation language rules. The languages are:

Language Technologists will develop, update, and maintain electronic lexicons and associated text files. S/He will collect and analyze foreign language corpora as well as assist in the development of machine translation language rules. The languages are:
Bengali, Fulani, Gujarati, Igbo, Kanuri, Mongolian, Oromo, Punjabi, and Kurdish (Zazaki)
The requirements for successful applicants are:
- Associate’s degree
- Native or near native proficiency in the target language
- 3 years of experience working in the target language
- 2 years of experience working with Microsoft office products
- Strong analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to linguistics or language education
- Experience creating language learning resources
Position reports to Director of Language Research.
