JTG is seeking experienced linguists and translators for a multiple language-related tasks to support JTG’s customers

Location: Virginia
Status: Full-Time

Requirements 

• Demonstrated experience working as a translator
• Demonstrated knowledge of source and target languages
• Native or near native understanding of Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, French, Ga, German, Hausa Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Pashto, Dari, Persian Farsi, Russian, Thai, Urdu, Uyghur, Vietnamese, Turkish, or Somali. Linguists in other languages are encouraged to apply
• Demonstrated experience providing translation, transcription/gisting, and monitoring in the foreign languages
• Proficient in the use of multi-media platforms
• Experience using or developing terminology databases or glossaries
• Demonstrated experience writing reports in English

Education

• Undergraduate degree in English Literature, Language, Linguistics, or translation from a reputable university
• Certifications in translation or linguistics is a plus
