Data Integrity Specialist

JTG is currently seeking an experienced Data Integrity Specialist to support an Intelligence Community customer in the Northern Virginia area. The Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for supporting data analytics activities that enable more efficient, timely, and in-depth understanding of trends, patterns, and relationships in large, diverse, vernacular datasets. 

Location: Reston, VA

Status: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage data from source of collection into computer system for storage, processing, and exploitation purposes
  • Support activities that rely on CAT tools, post-edited machine-translation, adaptive machine translation, speech-to-text, and other advanced HLT capabilities
  • Enable efficient data management and information discovery and check source documents for accuracy
  • Monitor and flag errors in technology-based/automated collection, e.g. missing and/or duplicate items and/or transcription drops within items, and coordinate corrections to those errors
  • Prepare, compile, sort documents for data entry and combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
  • Transcribe information into required electronic formats and scan documents into management systems or database
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files and ensure compliance with data integrity and security policies
Basic Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship
  • Educational degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of data management, techniques, and approaches to ensure data integrity
  • Ability to work with processing foreign language text with Unicode standards
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn new skills
  • Ability to find creative solutions to problems and needs while processing large amounts of information
  • Strong organizational skills as a contributor to a virtual team
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess intermediate foreign language skills (IRL level 3/3+)
  • Prior experience with HLT, CAT, and machine translation tools
  • Prior training or coursework in metadata, webs and text analytics, information visualization, and data management




This position reports to the Task Manager.
