TS/SCI Cleared Operational Language Analysts

Description:

The Operational Language Analyst performs tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.

Basic Qualifications:

• TS/SCI clearance with Poly
• Able to perform transcription and translation at ILR level 2-3 from the required language(s) into English. Must provide proof of testing or be able to test at the required level (Valid NSA Civilian Language Test of Record may be used).
• Minimum of two to fifteen (2-15) years cryptologic language processing (full-time).
• At least one to five (1-5) of the years of experience must consist of primarily of translating and/or transcribing, and gisting.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience primarily using an English keyboard.

Depending on qualifications, responsibilities will include:

• Recovering essential elements of information
• Rendering translations and/or transcripts based on straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material to transcribing complex and sophisticated spoken material and translating complex and sophisticated written material
• Gisting straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material to complex and sophisticated written and spoken material
• Qualified applicants may scan and sort/categorize foreign language materials
• Qualified applicants may perform quality control review of translations and transcripts of complex and sophisticated written and spoken material

Education:

• High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent for Level 1.
• Associate of Arts (AA)/Associate of Science (AS) degree or equivalent (may be substituted with two (2) additional years of relevant work experience) for Level 2.
• Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or equivalent (may be substituted with four (4) additional years of relevant work experience) for Levels 3 and 4.
