Part-time Project Coordinator

JTG is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Government Language division to handle project analysis and quotes. This is an entry-level part time position that may lead to a position in project management for the right individual. Project coordinators are responsible for assisting Project managers with data entry, document review, word counts, account set up, and small ongoing projects.

Location: Reston, VA

Status: Part-Time

Responsibilities

  • Process clients’ inquiries, write and enter quotes into the system.
  • Set up projects by determining a word count and client’s scope of work
  • Select the right candidate for the task.
  • Support project managers with administrative tasks.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of project plans: incorporate deliverables, tasks, milestones, estimates, timelines and resources.
  • Monitor project quality, and ensure project remains on schedule and within scope and budget.
  • Manage file transfers between vendors, JTG and client reviewers.
  • Coordinate language questions between language experts and clients.
  • Perform quality checks on documents and maintain project-specific quality requirements
  • Process changes of scope.
  • Issue purchase orders and reconcile supplier invoices.
  • Strive to continuously improve project management policies, procedures and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • US citizenship
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Willingness to obtain a Government Public Trust
  • A positive and collaborative attitude

Education/Training

Degree: Bachelor's degree

Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel etc.

Familiarity with WordPress is a plus and knowledge of a second language is a plus
